Gary K. Waltz

Gary K. Waltz, 72, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012. He retired from Pillsbury after over 40 years of service. Gary enjoyed golf and was a frequent visitor of the Waffle House and Little Chef.

Gary was born on September 26, 1939 in New Albany to the late George R. and Elizabeth (Richardson) Waltz. He was also preceded in death by his children, Steve Waltz, Kevin Ruley; and son-in-law, David Phelps. He is survived by his children, Scott A. Waltz, Karen Waltz-Phelps, Jeff Ruley, Jennifer Ruley; former wife and caretaker, Doris Waltz; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
