Gary Kent Jones, 71, of New Albany, Indiana, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, June 8, 2014. He was the retired CEO of Builders Metal Supply and was active in the Louisville construction community for almost 50 years.
Gary was born on September 4, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Kent Warren and Sara Catherine (Demonbrun) Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn Ruth (Buse) Jones; sons, David Jones (Cynthia), Brian Jones (Lezlee); daughter, Diane Harris(Steve); brothers, James Jones (Anna), and Ronald Jones; 11 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150), and from 10 to 11AM on Thursday at Graceland Baptist Church (3600 Kamer Miller Road New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the church with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Graceland Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
