Gary C. Grooms, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
He was born on May 18, 1941 in Waverly, Ohio to Gilbert and Dora Grooms. Gary retired from Sysco Food Services in Louisville and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a custom knife maker, and also enjoyed collecting firearms and coins. Gary was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 3903.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lynda Gayle Grooms; daughter, Shannon Renee Spies; son, Robert Kevin Spies; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his dog, Whimsey and cat, Pumpkin.
Per Gary's wishes no public service will be held.
