Gary Abbott

Gary Devon Abbott, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 12, 2014. He retired from Bancroft Police Department after 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, putting puzzles together, working seek and find puzzles and going to the gun range.

Gary was born on September 26, 1942, in Stark County, Indiana to the late Morris and May Abbott.

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Jane Abbott; sons, Richard Maurice Abbott, Gary Dewayne Abbott, Jr., and Jeffrey Andrew Abbott; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and sister, Darlene Zimmer.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Gary's Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
