Garry R. Diehl, 74, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Garry loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending their events and ball games. He was an avid fan for all UofL sports.
He was born on June 18, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert Diehl and Mary Cheatham Pennington.
Garry is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Della Diehl; his oldest son, Gary (Teresa) Foushee; step-children, Pam (Mark) Cain and Brian Hodges; grandchildren, Gavin Foushee, Nolan Foushee, Juliann Foushee, Kristen Cantoni, Ryan Cain, Luke Hodges, and Olivia Hodges; great-grandchildren, Blake and Max; siblings, Robert (Shirley) Diehl, Sharron Mitchell, Jerry Diehl, Donnie (Becky) Diehl, and David (Mary Ann) Diehl.
His Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following Garry's wishes.
