Gail Lawson Smith, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
She was born on September 20, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Mildred (Mehler) Lawson. Gail raised two loving sons. She earned her nursing degree from Jefferson Community College. She also enjoyed beach vacations with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Andrew Smith and her parents.
Gail is survived by her sons, Andrew Mehler Smith (Anne) and Zachary Donald Smith (Pamela Gerken); sister, Linda Chandler; brother, John P. Lawson, Jr. (Mary Beth); grandchildren, Asher, Fletcher, Annabelle, and Mehler Smith; niece, Lori Soph; and nephews, Greg Chandler and Taylor Lawson.
No services will be held at this time.
The family requests that contributions in lieu of flowers be made to The Kentucky Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
