Gail F. Hermes, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
She was born on March 27, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to Fred Blunt and Jewel DeRuelle. She is preceded in death by her Father, Fred Blunt; Mother, Jewel Blunt Kiesel; husband of 58 years, John Hermes Sr.; and Daughter, Shannon G. Hermes.
She is survived by her loving sons, John E. (Cathy) Hermes, Jr. and Bruce A. (Tracie) Hermes; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Loeser, Anne Hermes, John (Samm) Hermes III, Lauren (Gary Jarboe, Jr.) Hermes, Corey Hermes, & Anthony Hermes; 3 great grandchildren, Rhythm, Jocelyn, & Blaine; special friend, Lois Mohr.
Visitation will be Sunday March 3, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 2 pm on Sunday March 3, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Private family inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Gail's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
