Fredrick Emroy Reitzel Iii

Fred "Roy" Reitzel III, 60, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was born on April 30, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to Fredrick and Ruth (Cooper) Reitzel. He is preceded in death by his Father, Fredrick Emroy Reitzel, Jr., Mother, Ruth Geraldine Reitzel, Siblings, Deborah Parker, Mike Reitzel, Donnie Reitzel, Sister-In-Laws, Evelyn Reitzel and Debbie Reitzel.

Roy is survived by his loving Wife of 30 years, Sheila Renee Reitzel; Children, Christopher (Ashley) Reitzel, Carol Cox, and Bud Cox; Grandchildren, Aubrey Reitzel and Abigail Reitzel; Siblings, Eddie Reitzel, Ronnie Reitzel, Sherry (Jody) Perkins, Rose Reitzel, Jerry (Sandy) Reitzel, and Amanda (Bryan) Shiflet, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memories forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Roy's memory be made to Local Humane Society or American Cancer Society or Crusade for Children.
