Frederick Leverne Hollon

October 7, 1968 — May 13, 2022

Frederick Leverne "Fred" Hollon was born on October 7, 1968, in Louisville, KY to the late Freddie C. Hollon Sr. and Lille Mae Hollon. He departed his earthly life on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Fred accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Cane Run Missionary Baptist Church. Since early this year, he had been attending More Than Conquerors Christian Church under the pastoral leadership of Senior Pastor, Adam C. Carter Sr. and was welcomed by all with open arms.

Fred was educated in the Jefferson County Public School system in which he graduated from Waggener High School in 1987 and later attended classes at the University of Louisville. Fred met no strangers and was known by so many throughout the city; many people he met during the time he worked as a security guard at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, KFC Yum Center, Club Cedar, Double Deuce Sports Bar and Grill, the Board of Education, and MSD for twenty plus years before taking an early retirement and starting his own lawn care service.

Fred had a big heart, generous spirit, and loved helping others. You could look on social media many days and see how happy he was working with various organizations to raise money for different causes; always giving back to his community. A true Servant of Christ; giving of himself, time, and talent to help someone along the way!!!!

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Willa Martin, and leaves to cherish his memories; sons, Atone "Toney" Hollon and Darious Buckner; siblings, Anthony (Karen) Martin, Larry Martin, Terry (Liliana) Hollon, Freddie C. Hollon, Jr., and Renee Hollon, all of Louisville, KY; Rosalind Y. Hollon, and Marlene Ballard of Cleveland, OH, and Beverly Burton of Huntsville, AL; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Fred also held a special place in his heart for Jasmine, Alexius, and Iesha who everyone knew to be his daughters; godson, LaRon Sloan and grandson, Xavier McCrary.
