Frederick H. Bartel

Frederick H. Bartel, 38, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010. Fred graduated from New Albany High School and Vincennes University. He owned a small business in Sellersburg and was a former educator at Prosser School of Technology and manager of Ken Towery Auto Care Centers in the area. Fred loved his children dearly and enjoyed cars, movies, and patronizing local eating establishments. His good humor brought joy to all those around him.

Fred was born on February 26, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky to Madora (Mueller) Bartel and the late Roger A. Bartel.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Katlyn M., Savannah H., and Josie R. Bartel, all of Floyds Knobs; his sister, Casey A. Kesling of Floyds Knobs; nephews, Gage A. and Kaden H. Kesling; uncle, Charles Bartel and his wife, Alexa of North Carolina; and many friends and neighbors.

The visitation will be 2 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (formerly Generations Funeral Home at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home followed by entombment at SCI Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
