Freddie Lee Wade, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. Freddie graduated from Cameron High School in Nashville, TN. He then left Nashville to move to Louisville, KY where he married Mary Wade and went to work at International Harvester and retired in 2006. Freddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a passion for music and singing. He was always the life of the party and loved to laugh. He was an avid UofL Cardinals fan and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was born on October 14, 1950 in Nashville, Tennessee to Elijah and Christine (McClain) Wade. He is preceded in death by his Father, Elijah Wade, Mother, Christine Wade, Wife, Mary Louise Wade, Sister-In-Law, Brendolyn Wade, and Brother-In-Law, Myron White.

Freddie is survived by his loving family, Daughters, Shonda Reneea Wade and Shaniqua "Nickie" Nicole (Darnell) Young; Sons, Frederick (Autumn) Prather and Dominique Briscoe; Grandchildren, Karrington Young, Darnell Young, Daviona Johnson, Sidnei Everett, Braxton Carpenter-Prather, and Braylon Prather; Great-Grandchild, Kashton Hardimon; Siblings, Eugene (Nicole) Wade, William Wade, Harriett White, James (Linda) Wade, and Edward Wade, Sr.; Friends, Paul (Nicolette) Jones, Gregory (Chiquita) Roberts, and Paul (Eunice) Mullins, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).

The family requests that contributions in Freddie's memory be made to The Family.
