Freda F.(Belcher) Loman

Freda F. (Belcher) Loman, 69, of New Albany, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Mercy-Providence Retirement Home. She retired from Pillsbury after 42 years of service. She loved to cook and enjoyed gambling at the boat. Freda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

Freda was born on April 2, 1942 in Cape Sandy, Indiana to the late George and Artie (Shoemaker) Belcher. She was also preceded in death by her son Ricky D. Belcher; siblings, Paul, Loren, Dencil, Willard, and Charles Belcher, Bonnie Schneider and Betty Webb.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerri L. Jones and her husband, Jimmy, of New Albany; siblings, Donald Belcher of New Albany, Richard Belcher of Floyds Knobs, Barbara Harlow of New Albany, Debbie Andres of Louisville; grandchildren, Rick Belcher and his wife, Breanna, James Jones and his wife, Marla, Marissa Belcher, Jenna Jones, and Tish Combs; great-grandchildren, Linley Belcher, Aubrey and Hanna Summers, Wesley Trabue, Jessica and David Combs, James Pointdexter, Caleb Brady; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 10, 2011 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
