Fred Edward Kemper, Jr., 88, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He retired from Fabritech International. Fred was a private pilot for many years and also enjoyed fishing.
He was born on March 1, 1929, in Kent, Indiana, to the late Fred, Sr., and Thelma (Fouts) Kemper. Fred was also preceded in death by his brother, Clifford; and son-in-law, Randall Thomas.
Fred is survived by his wife of 70 years, Milley (Embry) Kemper; children, Barbara Thomas and Don Kemper (Becky); 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105).
