Fred Larkin Holt, Jr., 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on December 16, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1947, to Fred, Sr. and Ethel (Carter) Holt. Fred dedicated much of his professional life to working as an electrician for Alcoa-Reynold's Aluminum in Louisville, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to his craft.
Throughout his life, Fred found joy in various hobbies. He was a passionate fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, as well as racing go-carts and had spent many hours on the golf course. A devoted fan of the Indianapolis 500, Fred looked forward to the annual event. His family fondly recalls their trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where they shared many great moments together.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters, Carolyn and Peggy Campbell. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Davis and her husband Jeff; his grandchildren, Aidan Atzinger and Camden Davis; and brother, Robert Holt and his wife Kaye.
In accordance with Fred's wishes, he will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to gather in his memory from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany), with a celebration of his life to follow at 2:00 p.m.
