Frank was born on July 9, 1965 in Oak Park, IL to Daniel James Orangias (1933-2021) and Shirley Ann Orangias (1934-2022). Frank passed away at his home in Sparta, KY on October 16, 2024.
Frank was a graduate of Trinity High School in Louisville, KY. He was employed by G & M Foods, and later CHO Lawn and Landscaping.
Frank's beautiful smile would captivate everyone he ever met. Having lived on a farm for the past 30 years, he acquired a deep passion for the wellbeing and comfort of all animals around him. Up until his passing, at sunrise, Frank abundantly fed the birds and his adopted horses "Ace, Red, and Macho." He cared for his cats and dogs as well. While enjoying the sunset, Frank would feed the deer and other wildlife that visited him on the farm. The deer trusted him and walked right up to him on the farm. Frank was a full-time compassionate and loving caregiver during his Father's final 2 years of life. He visited his Mother daily and filled her bird houses with food. He also helped with her end of life care. Frank has always helped his parents, siblings and neighbors during illness, injuries and emergencies. Besides caregiving for family and animals, Frank enjoyed listening to calming music, snow skiing, running, bicycling and exercise.
Frank is survived by his partner Calvin Matthews and his remaining siblings: Mike Orangias, Joe Orangias, Darlene Orangias, Danette (Terry) Miller, Debra (David) Hill, and Danielle (Todd) Whitener. His remaining nieces and nephews: Jason (Jennifer) Davenport, Michael (Jessica) Orangias, Dana (Brian) Grinestaff; Joey (Kathryn) Daniel, Jennifer (Dustin) Feige, Joseph (Frank) Pega; Christina (Greg) Howell, Courtney (Joseph) Evanson; and Jeremy Grawemeyer (deceased 1985-2016).
