Frank "Frankie" Elliott Moran, age 50 of Jeffersonville, IN, departed this world on the morning of August 19, 2013 due to complications from surgery.
Frankie was born to Sally Garcia-Bates and John Moran on July 7, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Westport High School in Louisville, Kentucky, served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army, was employed by Lear Seating for 20 Years and later worked for Ford Motor Company. Frankie lived a life of deep integrity, compassion and the desire to do the right thing. He loved life, enjoyed listening to jazz, spending time with his family and had a generous caring heart. Frankie was a loyal Green Bay Packers Fan and proud owner of a rare and unique gun collection.
Frankie was preceded in death by his stepfather Artell Bates, stepsister Deborah Steed, and aunt Marfa Bennett. Frankie will truly be missed by family and friends. He is survived by his partner of 30 years Pamela Davis; mother, Sally Elizabeth Bates; father, John Elliott Moran (Frances); daughter, Felicia Morris; brothers, David Moran, Eric Bates, and Joseph Bates; step brothers, Edgar (junior) Lavells and LaDon Davis; sisters, Lisa Selmon and Sylvia Foster; aunts, Ruth Garrette, Mary Spraggins, Wanda Smith; uncles, Lemuel Wiggins, Charles Bennett, Felton (Frances Ann) Moran, Ferdie (Nedra) Moran, Donald (Lorné) Moran; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday August 23, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,Ky 40243 from 4-8pm and Saturday 12-2 with service to follow at 2pm.
