Frank Joseph Kruer, Sr., 76, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. Frank was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany. He was a devout Catholic with a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Frank was born September 23, 1938 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Bernard and Carrie (Piper) Kruer. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ben, Alvin, Elmer, Theodore, Andy and Leonard.
Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Ann (Cheap) Kruer; children, Phillip, Frank Jr., Jo Ann and Joseph Kruer; sisters, Alice and Irene; grandchildren, Stewart, Travis Kruer and John Lock..
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, December, 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday December 29, 2014 in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
Memorial Contributions, in Frank's memory, may be made to America Needs Fatima (P.O. Box 341, Hanover, PA 17331).
