Frances Ann (Gilliland) Tanner

Frances Ann (Gilliland) Tanner, 75, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was a retiree from Shop n' Save Grocery Stores. Fran was a former member of St. Andrew UMC in Florissant, Missouri, currently was attending New Chapel Church in Jeffersonville and was a member of the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born on March 24, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Thelma (Stayton) Gilliland. Along with her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her son, Gary Brian Tanner; and siblings, Robert Gilliland and Rosa Bratcher.

Fran is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Gerald Tanner, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Zielberg (Mark); daughter-in-law, Valeska Tanner; grandchildren, Halee, Cole, Lucas Tanner; and brother, William Gilliland. 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 4:00 p.m.
