Frances Kay Selter, a cherished caregiver, beloved family member, and a gentle soul, departed this life on March 29, 2025, in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 16, 1948, Frances touched the hearts of many with her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to caring for those around her.

Frances exemplified kindness in all aspects of her life. For over 10 years, she devoted herself to working as a caregiver at Almost Family Adult Daycare, where her warmth and commitment left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others, always putting their needs before her own. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her professional life and was a testament to her genuine love for people.

Frances' life was richly woven with experiences she cherished, especially moments spent with her family. Her love for the lake brought joy and tranquility to her life, providing a serene backdrop for gatherings filled with laughter and love. She delighted in playing games like Yahtzee and Bunco with her family, always ready for a friendly competition or a card game. Frances took immense pride in watching her family grow, her heart swelling with joy as her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren thrived.

Frances is survived by her son, Mike "Robbie" (Melanie) Selter; daughter, Stacy Randall (Bill); her grandchildren, Josh Selter, Megan (Keith) Jackson, Billy Randall, and Kennedy Randall; and her great-grandsons, Jordan Jackson and Kolt Jackson. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Offutt, and Jane Ice, who will carry on her memory in their hearts.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Beatrice Redmon, and father, Vernon Redmon. They guided her through life, instilling in her the values of compassion and love that she so freely shared with others.

As we celebrate the life of Frances Kay Selter, we remember her as a kind and compassionate person, driven by a desire to make the world a better place for those around her. Her legacy of love, care, and dedication will live on in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a family forever grateful for the lessons she imparted and the love she so selflessly gave.

Per her wishes, Frances was cremated and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
