Mrs. Frances B. Grooms, age 88 of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011. Originally of Saloma, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late John W. Franklin and Josie Alice Gupton. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, daughter Charlene and 6 brothers and a sister.
She is survived by her sons, Frank and Ron; brother, Ray Franklin; 5 grandchildren, Glenn Grooms, Melissa Wise, Kim Forbey, Kelli Walsh and Alecia McAllister and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral ceremony will be 11 am Wednesday, May 11 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with burial in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Indiana. Visitation will be 4-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Foundation.
