YOTTER, FORREST KIM, 65 of Shepherdsville, passed away at Robley Rex VA Medical Center, on April 11, 2012. He was born in Murray Utah and grew up in Edmonds Washington.
Forrest was an Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, where he received the Silver Star. He was a retired diesel mechanic and enjoyed remodeling. He was an artist, never creating anything that was not unique or extraordinary which is represented by the "cabin in the woods" he created for his "lovely wife" of nearly 10 years, Kay Hayden Yotter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Dixie Johnson Yotter and father in law William F. Hayden.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his children Robin Wheaton, Ryan Yotter (Tina), Kevin Yotter (Lisa), Kasey Thomas (Jarred), Lisa Yotter, grandchildren Gabriel, Desiree and Katelynn Wheaton, Kailey and Brayden Yotter, brother Charles Kip Yotter (Judy), mother in law Mary "Mom" Hayden and numerous brother and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his buddy Samson and the employees and stock holders of Lowes and Home Depot.
Funeral ceremony for Forrest will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, KY., with visitation 1 - 8 p.m. Monday and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Palliative and Hospice Care team and Chaplain Services at VA Medical Center especially Tara, Ed, Gayla and Fred and Dr. Adam Howe.
