Florence Johnson Moran, 87, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, September 2nd 2012 at home surrounded by her three daughters. She was born on August 11, 1925, in Louisville. While she was rearing her daughters she assisted her husband with his general contracting business. Afterwards she worked as a secretary at the Kentucky School for the Blind where she was devoted to and involved in the lives of the children there. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Moran Burshears, Sandy Moran Duffy (Bob) and Crystal Moran MacKenzie (Bill); her grandchildren, Ashley MacKenzie Rogers (Casey) and William Allister MacKenzie IV (Jen); her great grandchildren Annalee Carrington Rogers and William Allister MacKenzie V; and her beloved pet Rusty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond T. Moran.

Her funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, with a family burial at Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
