Florence G. (Ream) Watson Monroe, 80, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. She retired from the University of Louisville Hospital. Florence enjoyed reading, playing bingo, watching crime mysteries, and making visits to the beach. Florence was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jeffersonville and had a strong Christian faith.

Florence was born on May 17, 1933 in DeMossville, Kentucky to the late John and Geneva (Billow) Ream. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Howard J. Watson and James H. Monroe.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen D. Watson, Dennis J. Watson (Melissa); brother, John Ream; grandchildren, Jesse Mason, Joshua Mason, Amanda Sightler, Jennifer Watson, Dennis Watson; and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Burial will take place at Old Salem UMC Church Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675).
