Everett Reed Tolliver

Everett "Pops" Reed Tolliver , 93, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. He retired after many years at General Electric. He was inducted into the United States Air Force where he served four years during the Korean War. Everett was proud to serve his country. He was also a proud member of the Masons. Everett enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed socializing and never met a stranger.

He was born on March 16, 1930 in Grayson, Kentucky to George and Carrie (Miller) Tolliver. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee Tolliver; Daughter, Nancy Jan Leake; and two sisters, Esther Sexton and Phyliss Eckart.

Everett is survived by his loving children, Stephen Reed (Cindy) Tolliver and Susan Ann (Doug) Murray; grandchildren, Brian (Elisabet) Murray, Shannon (Josh) Winkler, Stephen (Christa) Tolliver, Jr., Mark (Brittany) Tolliver, Aaron (Emily) Tolliver, Brandon (Vanessa) Harris, and Phillip (Rose) Harris; great grandchildren, Mason, Hadley, Owen, Molly, Berkley, Eli, Eleanor, Reed, Jack, Macy, Shelby, Olivia, and Claire; brother Hollis Tolliver; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
