Mr. Everett Duncan passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bonnie Duncan, sons James E. (Beth) and Calvin Lee (Nancy) Duncan and Doug (Michelle) Churchman, and his grandchildren Tyler Lee, Haylee Marie, Rebecca Michelle and Aaron Everett, his mother, Emma Duncan, his sister, Gayle (Willie) Nye and brother Greg (Karen) Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his father Wyndle Duncan Sr. and brothers, Gary Wayne Duncan and Wyndle Duncan, Jr.
He was a Son. Brother. Husband. Father. Grandfather. Father-in-law. Friend. Music lover. Musician. Friend of Bill. Lover of Westerns, 50s and 60s sitcoms, Star Trek. Fun-loving. Wise and ready to share that wisdom and those interests with any and everyone at any time.
He wore a hat with unrivaled panache. He wore a smile with ease. He held his wife, children, grandchildren, a guitar, a microphone and a camera with equal skill and care. He holds the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know him, still.
There will be a memorial service at 7PM Tuesday May 31st at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive with visitation after 4 PM. There will be a music and friendship memorial service announced at a later date.
