Everett "Buck" J. Embs

Everett "Buck" J. Embs, 94, of Pendleton, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

He was born on August 11, 1930 in Palmer, Kentucky to the late GC and Maud (Horn) Embs. He is also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Diana Jean Oldham Embs; wife, Jeanne M. (Farmer) Embs; and his long time friend, Brenda Gaugh.

Buck is survived by his children, Wanda Metts (Martin), Kaye Sapp (Daryl Lanxon), Eugene Embs, Rick Embs, Mark Embs, and Wayne Embs (Kay); 17 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; and 17 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Smithfield Cemetery in Smithfield, Kentucky.

Buck touched many, many lives. Anyone who showed up on his farm was treated just like family. Buck was a member of Sulphur Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving father, pawpaw, and friend. 

The family requests that contributions in Everett’s memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
