Evelyn M. (Dodd) Johnson, 97, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010. She was a former piano teacher and attended Unity Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Evelyn was born on September 3, 1913 in Birdseye, Indiana to the late Charles and Kathryn M. (Vowell) Dodd. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Richard L. Heritage and Dr. J. M. Johnson, and her sister, Doris Cappell.
She is survived by her daughters, Dixie House of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Jane Herrick of Dallas, Texas, and Jennie Johnson of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Her visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:30 PM Monday, December 27, 2010 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
