Evelyn Marie Fansler, 92, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Evelyn was a caring person who loved to cook for family, friends and neighbors. She loved her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Evelyn was quiet spoken, but a doer. She loved to be needed. When she would visit her children in their homes, she would say "What can I do?". She would be so happy to fold clothes, iron clothes, help with meals and especially wash dishes after holiday meals. She loved her life-long special friends and families she met while working as a caregiver. She was very sweet and everyone loved her.
She was born on March 23, 1931 in Johnston, Rhode Island to Thomas and Giovanna (Giorgio) Russo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Earl Alan Fansler and brother, Anthony Russo.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Karen (Kevin) Rogers and Jenny (Craig) Hart; son, Eric (Kellie) Fansler; grandchildren, Jon (Danielle) Hart, Reed (Hayley) Fansler, Ryan (Olivia) Fansler; step-grandchildren, Brad (Katharine) Rogers, Nick (Raine) Rogers, Jon (Laurel) Rogers, Kelsey (Alan) Keating; great-grandchildren, Marla and Porter; step-great grandchildren, Ellie, Addie, Sully, Hollie, Posey, Hudson, Griffin, and Foster.
