Euphenia Swinger

Euphenia Swinger, age 94 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She passed peacefully at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville, KY with her daughter at her side. Euphenia "Mom" "Fennie" Swinger was born in Maury City, TN. to Emmit Taylor and Mary Livingston on June 22, 1929. She loved the Lord as she accepted Christ at an early age. She united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Henry Swinger Sr. in the late 40's. She retired as an assembler for General Electric.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and aunt! She always enjoyed holidays' especially her gag gifts. She could fry the best fried chicken and let us not forget her buttermilk pies. There were many moments when she would tell Alexa to turn on Al Green and sit in her chair dancing like nobody was watching. Euphenia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Euphenia leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter, Jean Watkins (William "Rudy") whom were her caregivers; her stepson, Robert H Swinger Sr. (Peggy); her nephew, Mozziz DeWalt Sr. (Shelia); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and an abundance of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243, with burial to follow at Petersburg Newburg Cemetery.
