Eugene Wilson

Eugene "Gene" Wilson, age 83 formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Gene was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a retired employee of Kroger, Houchens, and Beechmont Key Market. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Wilson; and sister, Janet Probus.

Gene is survived by his wife, Brenda Wilson; daughters, Lisa Downes (Charlie), Michelle Harris (Charles), Heather Wilson, Sherrie Judd (Lonnie), Becky Hernando (Jon), Linda McIntyre (Kevin), and Michelle Wotherspoon (Adam); sisters, Yvonne Downs and Susan Shutters; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the funeral home with burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY.
