Eugene Edward Goedeker

Eugene "Gene" Edward Goedeker, 81, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was retired from International Harvester and was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. He was an avid horseback rider and fisherman.

He was born on April 16, 1942 in Henryville, Indiana to Edward and Loretta (Kelmel) Goedeker. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia Zollman, Gladys Peers and Robert Goedeker.

Gene is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Anderson) Goedeker; children, Kevin Goedeker, Krista Shaw (Sean); sister, Mary Catherine Hoehn (Norbert); grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Kinley Shaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am Thursday, October 19, 2023 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with his funeral mass being celebrated at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
