Eugene "Gene" Abner, 74, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018.
He was born on March 6, 1944, to Henry and Hazel Abner. He is preceded in death by his parents, and Brother, Harold Abner.
Gene is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Barbara Abner, Sons, Kevin (Kim Abner) Abner, and Jason (Danielle Abner) Abner, Sisters, Joann (Charlie) Perkins, and Sue (Jim) Kindell, Sister-In-Law, Brenda Abner, Grandchildren, Kayla Abner, Caitlyn Abner, Jayson Abner, Thiago Abner, Molly Pennington, and Madison Aldred, Great-Grandchildren, Ryan Abner, Ryder Abner, Hayden Abner, Roman Abner, Ex-Daughter-in-Laws, Tracy Abner Wiehebrink and Brenda Abner Pennington.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
The family requests that contributions in Gene's memory be made to American Lung Association.
