Ethel West, age 94 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. Ethel was born January 26, 1919 in Louisville to the late Ed and Mary Ruxer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny West, Sr.; and sister, Mildred Woodard.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen West; son Denny West (Patricia); grandchildren, Mark West (Melanie) and Dana West; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jack West; brother, Ed Ruxer; sister-in-law Sue Ruxer; two nieces and four nephews; and dear friend Martha Brandenburg.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 11:30am Monday, March 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY 40207. Ethel's Mass of Christian Burial will be 12pm Monday at the church, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hosparus of Louisville.
