Ethel Pauline (Jeffries) Neal, 90, of Greenville, Indiana passed away on Friday evening, January 7, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Pauline retired from the New Albany/Floyd County School Corporation after 21 years as a bus driver. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs. The community benefitted from her God-given talents in serving the Lord and sharing the gospel through her music and as a long-time Sunday School teacher.
Pauline was born on July 19, 1920 in Oldham County, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Carrie M. (Fendley) Jeffries. She was also preceded in death by her son, William "Ed" Neal, Jr., and brothers, Roy Lee and Warren Jeffries.
She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, William E. Neal; daughter, Paula K. Warman and her husband, David of Greenville; sister, Bessie Ross of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Angela F. Bowman and her husband, Doug of Georgetown, Indiana, Amy M. Gresh and her husband, David of Greenville, William E. Neal, III of New Albany, and Bryan D. Warman of Clarksville; great grandchildren, Brad and Addy Bowman and Sophia and Carson Gresh; and daughter-in-law, Rita F. Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Monday, January 10 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) and from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church (4631 Lakeview Drive, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119). The Funeral Service is at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 11 at the church with cremation to follow.
