Estus Jerrell Foster, Jr.

Estus "Tom" Foster Jr., (78) of Louisville, KY passed away May 26th, 2022.

Tom was born February 10, 1944 in Columbia, MS to parents, the late Estus, Sr. and Rachel Foster. He was the second oldest of ten children. Tom served 23 years in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Upon completion of his military career, he served 20 years as a civil service employee at Fort Knox, KY. Tom was a member of the College View Church of Christ in Elizabethtown for 32 years and subsequently a member at the Eastland Church of Christ upon his move to Louisville in 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Hilda Stogner.

Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Deborah Smith Foster; two children, Scott Foster (Terri) and Robin Tier (Robert); three grandchildren, Garrett, Aidan and Addison; three brothers and five sisters; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Tom's life will follow at 6:00 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N. Dixie Highway, Radcliff, Kentucky 40160 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:30pm with military honors.
