Esther (Rodriguez) Figueroa

Esther (Rodriguez) Figueroa, 68, of Clarksville, Indiana, died on Monday, September 15, 2014. She was a 1985 graduate of the Bible Institute of Christian Ministries in Chicago, Illinois. Esther was a member of the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville and had been an active Sunday school teacher in the Chicago area. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Esther was born on April 4, 1946 in Ceiba, Puerto Rico to the late Gabriel and Martha (Carmona) Rodriguez. She was also preceded in death by her children, William and Andres Figueroa; siblings, Gabriela, Virginia, Julian, and Abel.

Esther is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Juan Figueroa; children, Juan Figueroa, Jr., Ricarda Figueroa, Samuel Figueroa, Virginia Summarell (Justin); siblings, Luz Maria, Nicolasa, Raquel; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
