Esteleen Marie (Skaggs) Stinnett

Esteleen Marie (Skaggs) Stinnett, 98, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on June 27, 1924 in Hodgenville, Kentucky to Williams and Delsie (Boles) Skaggs. She is preceded in death by her mother, Delsie Skaggs; father, Williams Skaggs; husband, Roy Stinnett; and sons, Jerry Stinnett, Billy Stinnett, and Vernon Stinnett.

Marie is survived by her loving family, children, Roger Stinnett, Donald (Karen) Stinnett, Norma Jean Richard, Linda (Larry) Fisher, Carolyn Alvey, Robert (Mary) Stinnett, Gary Stinnett, Danny Stinnett; sisters, Eula Pottinger, Wilma Stillwell; as well as a host of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A Celebration of Marie's life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Sherman, Kentucky .

The family requests that contributions in Marie's memory be made to St. Jude's.
