Erin Lynn Endris, 56, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Erin passed away after a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, a disease that proved too cruel, even for someone as tough as her. She passed away in her home, surrounded by her family.
Erin was born on January 21, 1966, in New Albany, Indiana, to Ron and Janie Endris. She is preceded in death by her mom, Janie.
She was a graduate of New Albany High School and Texas State University. She was a lifelong member of St. Marks United Church of Christ.
Erin will be remembered for her avid love of music (especially The Beatles), the beach, and the many dogs and cats she had over the years. She never turned down the opportunity to visit with friends and family, walk on the beach, or spend time outdoors.
Erin was a loving and caring mother to her three children, who describe her as the "coolest mom ever." She passed down her strength, her empathy, and compassion and taught them the power of kindness, the power of love, and the power of music.
She is survived by her three children, Chance Miller (Emily), Lily Miller, and Riley Miller; and their father, Kevin Miller; sister, Tara Hengartner (Mark); and father, Ron Endris (Teresa).
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, those willing are encouraged to make a donation in Erin's memory to the ALS Association, which will help support further research and care for this heartbreaking disease.
