Erika Bienstock Rowan, age 89 of Louisville, formerly of Germany passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020. She was born in Duisburg Hamborn, Germany on January 21, 1931 to the late Rudolph and Maria Schroeder Bienstock. She moved to Louisville in 2013 to be with her daughter. Erika loved to attend the Oldham County Senior Center, where she made a great many friends.
Erika is survived by her husband, Christopher W. Rowan; her children, Diana Hedrick (Philip), Evelyn Batz (Sigurd), Dee Hill, Carl Bienstock (Maria Luise), Romona Bienstock (Cheri) and William Rowan (Sandra); grandchildren, Kim, Leah, Marcus, Micheal and Destinee; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held at a later date in Erika's homeland of Germany.
Memorials may be made to the Oldham County Senior Center, 1015 Dispatcher Way, LaGrange, Kentucky 40031.
