Eric Layne Cox

Eric Layne "Ric" Cox age 63 was called home on August 28, 2014 at University of Louisville Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was employed at Highland Middle School for ten years. Ric enjoyed gardening, raising birds and various animals, collected knives and watches, hunting and fishing, motorcycle riding with Linda along with anything to do with the outdoors. Ric also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ric is survived by his loving wife Linda of forty-one years, two daughters; Erica and loving son-in-law Mark and Katie, two grandchildren; Angelia and Caiden along with his Chihuahua Chica, his loving companion.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 2, 2014 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,KY 40243. Service will be Wednesday September 3, 2014 at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The family would like to give a special thanks to The Brown Cancer Center and also The University of Louisville Hospital Sixth East Unit for their loving care and are considered Angels of Mercy.
