Emory Lee Vinson Sr.

September 16, 1939 — April 16, 2014

Emory Lee Vinson Sr. age 74 was called home on April 16, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam War. He also retired from Carnival Cruise Line as Senior System Analyst. Emory enjoyed playing amateur basketball, he was an artist and a coach.

He is survived by his wife Betty Vinson of 52 years, daughter Angee Scott, 4 sons; Emory Jr.(Lucretia), Shawn(Michelle), Cameron and Allen, 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with 2 nieces; AnSean and Perrishe and 1 great niece Amani along with nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday April 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive , Louisville,KY from 11-1pm with service to follow. Burial will be Wednesday April 23, 2914 at 11am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
