Emolyne Mucker

Emolyne Mucker (Hines), age 87 passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, surrounded by her children. 

She was born on November 19, 1937, in Louisville, KY, to Nathan and Clara (Sims) Hines. A graduate of New Albany High School, who also attended classes at Indiana University Southeast. Ms. Mucker retired after 27 years as a dedicated telephone operator for Bellsouth. 

Emolyne enjoyed life to the fullest through sports, the arts, traveling, music, family celebrations, and was an avid reader. Her home was an open door as she welcomed all who entered, as she provided an open ear, love, and warmth. 

She is preceded in death by parents Nathan and Clara (Sims), husband Walter Mucker, siblings: Oceania Ford, William Minnett, Robert Minnett, Madeline Minnett, John Hines, Ruth Trowell, Erma Watson, son Steven Mucker, granddaughter Kimberly Mucker, and stepsons Walter Mucker Jr. and Carl Grant. 

She leaves to mourn her passing the following: son, David Mucker (Michelle), daughter, Dina Morrow, son, Brian Mucker (Ashley), daughter in law, Truzella Mucker (widow of Steven Mucker), 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a myriad of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

You were the heart of our family, and your memories will forever be cherished.

A private beach side service will be held to celebrate her life at a later date.
