Emmett Everitt Wycoff

Emmett Everitt Wycoff, 90, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Tech Sergeant and went on to work at General Electric in Louisville. Emmett was a member of the American Legion Post in Henryville.

He was born on Monday, June 12, 1933 in Underwood, Indiana to Paul and Ruby (Mackison) Wycoff. In addition to his parents, Emmett was preceded in death by his grandson, 1st Lieutenant Scott Ames, Jr.; three brothers and four sisters.

Emmett is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris (Jones) Wycoff; children, Michael, Patricia, Mitchell, Timothy, Donald, Rex, Regina; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Emmett's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
