Emma Cooper, 78, of Louisville, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
She was born on November 16, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Abram and Emma (Beeler) Mills. She is also preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Allen and brothers, James Mills and John Mills.
Emma is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Johnnie Cooper, sons, Anthony Scott (Lisa), Charles E. Scott (Angelique), Joseph Scott (Jamie), Timothy L. Scott, Denise Cooper and Darnell Cooper. She is also survived by her brothers, Abram Mills, Charles Mills (Marcie), Gilbert Mills (Brenda), Antonio Mills, Deno Mills, Richard Mills, sisters, Betty Spencer, Barbara Steadmon (Cordie), Christine Bruce (Tom), Doris Henderson, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Southeast Christian Church Main Campus, (920 Blankenbaker Pkwy Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Road Louisville, KY 40205).
The family requests that contributions in Emma's memory be made to St. Jude's Foundation (3146 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40211).
