Emily Paige Hazen

December 6, 2004 — December 7, 2024

New Albany, Indiana

Emily Paige Hazen, a vibrant spirit born on December 6, 2004, in Louisville, Kentucky, took her last breath on December 7, 2024, in New Albany, Indiana. Emily was just beginning to blossom into adulthood, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and creativity that will be cherished by those who knew her.

From an early age, Emily radiated a passion for life that was evident in everything she did. She was often found lost in the rhythm of music, dancing freely as if the world around her faded away. Her hobbies reflected her captivating spirit-whether it was playing softball, running track, immersing herself in the world of coloring and drawing, or exploring the art of cosmetology, Emily infused every endeavor with her unique flair. However, nothing brought her greater joy than the time spent with her beloved son, August Mayfield Hazen, and her brothers-Raylen Jenkins, Henry Feicht, and Gunner Feicht. They were not just her family; they were her pride and joy, the very essence of her heart.

Emily's family tree was rich with love and support. She is survived by her father, William (Samantha) Feicht, as well as her beloved son, August. Her grandmothers, Vickie (Phillip) Fisher and Bill (Jackie) Feicht, and great-grandparents Paul Hazen and Gladys (Ed) Logsdon, stood as pillars of strength and love throughout her life. Best friend, Zack Mayfield, Aunt Connie Phillips, and several cousins and friends filled her world with laughter and warmth, surrounding her with a network of unconditional love.

The loss of Emily is profound, felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She joins the loving embrace of her mother, Brittiany Nicole Hazen, and her grandmother, Rosa Marie Hazen, who welcomed her with open arms. Their bond, forged in love, serves as a comforting reminder of the everlasting connections that transcend life.

As we remember Emily, let us celebrate her spirit by cherishing the memories she created and the love she spread. Her laughter, her creativity, and her unwavering love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the honor to know her. Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy will live on in the lives of her family and friends, forever reminding us of the beauty of a life lived with passion and love.

The family requests that contributions in Emily’s memory be made to William Feicht for her son August.
