Elra Clay Twyman, Jr., 52, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, after an aggressive battle with cancer. Clay was the life of the party and never seemed to age. He was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Clay's wishes were to let everyone know that he loved them, and how proud he was of his sobriety. Clay will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on January 30, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky to Elra and Rebecca (West) Twyman. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Sue Twyman; and grandmother, Loretta West.
Clay is survived by his loving family, daughters, Kristina (Heather) Marvel,Katie Hatler, Kelsey Twyman; son, Clay Twyman; sister, Ashley (Robert) Randolph; grandsons, Aidence, Anakin; granddaughters, Aspen, Addison; mother of his children, Tina Jones; nieces, Madison Brumlee, Makailyn Randolph; friend, Bruce Jones; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions,Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A Celebration of his life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Georgetown Recovery Works for the excellent care they gave Clay.
