Elodia A. "Nancy" (Capra) Lione, 88, of New Albany passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012. Nancy was a devout Catholic and extremely active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany.
Nancy was born on July 11, 1923 in New York, NY to the late John and Josephine (Rogati) Capra. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leopold Lione; son, Salvatore Lione; and siblings, Guido Capra and Ida Izzo.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony (Karen), Paul (Ellen), and Joe Lione (Jeanne); siblings, Arthur Capra (Dolores) and sister, Antoinette; daughter-in-law, Anna Lione; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Visitation will be 2 PM to 8 PM on Monday, April 23 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) with a Rosary to be prayed at 4 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly, NJ.
Contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to St. Elizabeth/Catholic Charities (601 East Market Street, New Albany, 47150) or St. Vincent De Paul (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany, 47150).
