Ellis Martin Fetz, 72, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 7, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Chester Earl & Nora Bell (Trustner) Fetz. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Fancher in 1968 and had one son, Ricky, to bless their home. Ellis was a sanitation worker for many years and later worked at the New Albany Box & Basket Factory. He was a member of Heartland Nazarene Church. Ellis was an avid New Albany High School basketball fan. He hardly missed a game and cheered on the Bulldogs from the same seat for over 25 years.
Ellis is survived by his loving wife, Mary Fetz; son, Ricky Fetz; brother, Lonnie Fetz (Zola); sisters, Patricia Wright (Bob), Sandra Moberly (Paul), Vicki Jorden (Buddy), Donna Fetz, & Cathy Zearing (Larry). Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Jackie, & Chester Frank Fetz; sisters, Doris June & Karen Sue.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2 PM to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairveiw Cemetery.
