Ellery W. Bandy

Ellery Wayne Bandy, 64, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, after his courageous battle with cancer. Ellery worked as a machinist for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed building and flying remote control airplanes. Ellery was also fond of creating water gardens.

He was born on December 1, 1958, to the late Earl and Sadie (Bruce) Bandy.

Ellery is survived by his children, Natisha (Tim) Bandy and Eric Bandy; sister, Teresa (Kevin) Bandy-McMonigle; grandchildren, Harrison Wiseman, Grainger Spurlock, and Elijah Bandy; several dear nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow in honor of Ellery's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Ellery's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
