Elizabeth L. Woodfin

Elizabeth L. "Betty" Woodfin, 81, of Laconia, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Betty was a member of Lanesville Christian Church. She loved her garden and all of her flowers. Betty enjoyed quilting, camping, and her horses and chickens. She loved the outdoors, animals, and going to the beach.

She was born on January 10, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Russell Edwards and Mary Louise (Gagel) Edwards. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Edwards.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Woody Woodfin; son, Chuck Woodfin and his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Elaine Woodfin; sisters, Ginny Bray and Joann Singleton; grandchildren, Amanda Danielson, Brad Wampler, Mallory Hale, Christina Woodfin, Sarah Woodfin, Matthew Hale, and Sean Woodfin.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Memorial Service will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Betty's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for assistance with funeral expenses.
